COVID-19 Update

We want to provide you with updates as we continue to closely monitor the Coronavirus (COVID-19) as it impacts our local communities.

If you aren't comfortable returning to church yet, we will continue to offer high quality live streaming on these platforms:

NO MORE TEMPERATURE CHECKS
Members of the Welcome Team will no longer take your temperature when you enter the building. Please monitor your temperature if you are feeling sick, and stay home if you have a fever.

MASKS ARE REQUIRED FOR ALL PEOPLE
Due to the recent spike in COVID-19 cases in Orlando, we are temporarily requiring everyone who comes on campus to wear a mask indoors. Our  COVID-19 Task Force is closely monitoring the conditions and recommendations by local health officials and will be meeting regularly to discuss any changes to our protocols.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT DINNER WILL BE DRIVE THRU ONLY
We have temporarily suspended all in person meals and food on campus. As with the reinstatement of the mask policy, we hope that this change will be short-lived. Dinner is still available on a drive thru basis each Wednesday evening.

Everyone will need to continue to make reservations every week. This helps us get an accurate estimate of how many meals to prepare.
All reservations must be made by 9:00am on Tuesdays. Any reservations that come after that will be placed on a wait list. If you are placed on the wait list you will be called at 5:30pm on Wednesday and told whether or not we have meals for you.

TRADITIONAL SERVICE WILL CONTINUE ON WEDNESDAY NIGHT AT 6:15pm
By continuing to offer a Traditional Service and a Modern Worship Gathering at different times of the week, we create opportunities to connect with more people and maintain excellence at both services. The timing allows the ministry team and volunteers to plan for and fully support each service.
People who come to Wednesday Night Dinner will continue to be able to attend a worship service at a time when they are already at church.

COMMUNITY GROUPS RESUME MEETING ON CAMPUS
Each Community Group may decide whether to resume meeting in person or to continue meeting online.
It is recommended that groups meeting on-campus on Sunday mornings begin their time together at 9:30am.
If you need to ride the elevator to your group’s meeting area, please limit the number of people riding the elevator at one time to four.
If you choose to attend your Community Group in person, you will be required to wear a mask.

SOCIAL DISTANCING IN THE SANCTUARY REDUCED TO 3 FEET
Following CDC guidance, the space for social distancing has been decreased from six to three feet.
If you feel uncomfortable sharing space on the pews, clusters of chairs will continue to be available in the back of the sanctuary. Please feel free to adjust the placement of the chairs to create the space you need to feel comfortable.

THE CHURCH OFFICE WILL BE OPEN FROM 9:00 AM–12:00 PM EACH DAY
The doors to the building will remain locked for the safety of our staff, volunteers, and Monarch Learning Academy. To enter the building, please come to the Yale Street entrance and alert the office staff by pressing the button on the intercom next to the door.  An office staff member will speak to you through the intercom and grant you access to the building.
If you need assistance from our office staff after 12pm, please contact them by calling 407-843-0140 or emailing them directly.

GIVING
COTD is a generous church and we want to demonstrate our faith by giving in this time of crisis. The funds given help us to minister to many local, national and international agencies who will bring relief to those affected by Coronavirus. Here are a few ways you can continue to give:

1. Mail a check to the church (We do not recommend mailing cash) at 1914 Edgewater Drive, Orlando, FL 32804.
2. Drop off your tithe when you pick up your Wednesday night dinner.
3. Set up automatic bill pay through your bank.
4. Give online through our website by clicking here.
